Daily Commodity Market Analysis -- 08/21/2026

Corn led the way again today, pushing through the multiyear high we have been watching most of the week before settling just a few cents shy of its 2023 contract high. Beans traded lower overnight and most of the session, buy too firmed late and rallied into the close, while wheat gave back a touch of this week's strength. A fresh flash sale of soybeans to China, one of the largest in nearly a year, kept demand in the conversation even as the real story of the day was still ahead of us.

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results
