Corn and beans again opened firm today, this time led by a Trump post saying he would raise the 2027 Renewable Volume Obligation by as much as 500 million gallons to offset the SRE exemptions coming out of the EPA early next week. That ripped soybean oil higher, all the way back to the top of its recent range after trading near multi week lows just ahead of it, and pulled beans right along with it. Fresh reports of possible disease showing up in Midwest soybean fields, on top of a very hot forecast for finishing the crop, added to the strength, and beans went out at a fresh multiyear high.
